These chess pieces are handmade in alabaster and resin and hand painted and represent the Battle of Camelot, is King Arthur against Mordred.

King Arthur is represented with the “sword in the stone”, the sword of Excalibur: he was the only person able to extract it from the stone and that is why he was chosen as the new King.

Together with him we have the queen, Ginevra, the beautiful and young wife Guinevere with long hair, the bishops, his leaders, with the british armor of that medieval time.

The tower represents the fortress of Camelot, King Arthur’s residence.

The opponent on the chessboard is represented by Mordred, known in the legends of that period as a King Arthur’s nephew who betrayed him by attempting to steal his throne while King Arthur was away from home.

In these chess pieces as well you can see the details of the features of the english knights and soldiers ready to fight and of the tower depicted as the typical castles of Britannia.
